Patricia G. ‘Pat’ Lane. HOPE Patricia G. ‘Pat’ Lane, 84, died peacefully at home, Thursday, December 10, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Jersey, March 29, 1936 to Louis and Florence Singer Smith. Patricia started her life in Maine at an early age. On March 25, 1968, Patricia married Adelbert Lane in Rockland. This is where they spent the rest of their life. At an early age, Patricia began work at O’Hara Fish Plant where she became one of the fastest red fish cutters. The conveyor belt couldn’t keep up with her pace and fish had to be delivered directly to her work station. At the age of 40, she earned her nursing certificate and was employed by Knox Center for Long Term Care where she eventually retired. Patricia was a caregiver through and through even after retirement, serving as a private duty nurse for many local families. ....
