Muscat: More than 75 percent of the community is ready to take vaccination against the coronavirus, Badr Al-Rawahi, a member of the working group specialized in providing anti coronavirus vaccines said.
Badr Al Rawah said in an interview with Oman TV: In the middle of this month, the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is expected to arrive, and we assure everyone that studies indicate the possibility of taking the second dose of this vaccine 4 to 6 weeks after the first dose.
Badr Al-Rawahi added: All those targeted in every governorate and state were listed in lists and contacted to take the vaccine, but the health centers are open to anyone who knows that they are among the target group without the need for contact. ....

Samples of the suspected cases of the new strain of the virus have been sent to the central laboratory for identification using genetic sequencing.
Muscat: The test results of 200 suspected cases of the new strain of coronavirus will be known this week, an official from the Ministry of Health confirmed.
Dr Adel Al-Wahaibi, Director of the Epidemiological Surveillance Department at the Ministry of Health said in an interview with Oman TV, “There are 200 suspected cases of the new strain of coronavirus waiting for the results of the examination that will appear during this week, and the increasing number of COVID-19 infections is currently due to some laxity in adhering to health procedures.” ....

Oman says 200 suspected cases of new COVID-19 variant isolated


Dubai: Oman has isolated 200 suspected cases of the new mutant strain of coronavirus, a top official at the Ministry of Health said.
Dr Adel Al Wahaibi, Director of the Epidemiological Surveillance Department at the Ministry of Health said: “We have so far confirmed six cases of the COVID-19 variant apart from the 200 suspected cases.”
The samples taken from the suspected cases have been sent to the central laboratory for detection and verification using genetic sequencing. “We are expecting the results later this week,” he said.
Dr. Al Wahaibi stressed that the suspected cases of the new mutant strains have been isolated just like other patients infected with the virus. ....
