SHIVA KUMAR as its newest member of the board of advisors. Kumar previously served as chief strategy officer and head of business development for Watson Health at IBM from 2015-2020, worked for the consulting firm McKinsey & Co., and was an associate professor at Yale University’s Physics Department. As senior executive at IBM since 2003, he has pioneered analytics use to improve its revenue and profit performance, and co-founded and led teams at IBM Research to develop the capabilities of IBM Watson Health.

W. Boylston nurse pleads guilty to drug tampering


BOSTON A West Boylston man who once worked as a nurse in a Worcester hospital pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to tampering with opioids prescribed to patients in his care.
Mark Croft, 48, pleaded guilty to tampering with a consumer product and acquiring a controlled substance by deception and subterfuge.
U.S. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling said Croft used the drugs himself and attempted to conceal his crime by replacing the diverted narcotics with saline. 
While working at a Massachusetts hospital in January 2016, Croft administered hydromorphone and meperidine – both Schedule II controlled substances – to emergency department patients in need of pain relief, according to Lelling s press release. ....
