The Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Pittsfield Police Department apprehended a man yesterday in regards to sexual abuse and a stolen vehicle.
According to Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department received information regarding a motor vehicle that had been stolen out of Lawrence County, Alabama. The stolen vehicle was originally located in Calhoun County by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department who had attempted to stop the vehicle.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department took over the vehicle pursuit and eventually conducted a PIT maneuver on the fleeing vehicle, which disabled the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger fled from the vehicle on foot.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man again this week. This time the charges are surrounding an open investigation.
33 year old Anthony M. Westemeyer of Nebo was arrested at his residence at 3:40 yesterday afternoon on a warrant for two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child. The Pike County Sheriff’s Department also executed a search warrant at the residence of Westemeyer where several items of evidence were collected.

Westemeyer posted bail on that arrest on Sunday from the Pike County Jail. The juvenile in the incident was taken to the Adams County Youth Home in Quincy. Their status is currently unknown.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department arrested one man and a juvenile in a search warrant execution Thursday morning.
At approximately 6:17AM Thursday, May 13 the Pike County Sheriff’s Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of Bridge Street in Nebo.
Subsequent to the execution of the warrant, deputies arrested 33 year old Anthony M. Westemeyer of Nebo on a Pike County warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Westemeyer remains lodged at the Pike County Jail.
During the search, a juvenile was also arrested and charged for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The juvenile is currently in the custody at the Adams County Youth Home in Quincy.
