The consultant will conduct field observation at the Waste Treatment site in Adama Science and Technology University, assess the technical aspect of the treatment plant and evaluate its relevance for biogas production, the output of the plant, look into the organizational aspect by holding discussion with the administration of the University to examine the readiness, ownership affordability, demand, and other pertinent aspects of biogas energy. In addition to that, the Consultant will assess current energy consumption for cooking by the University. Furthermore, the consultant will conduct technical feasibility, economic analysis, financial analysis, gender perspective of the project, and environmental analysis in terms of reduction of GHG emission. ....

EKOS, ASTU sign MoU to propel excellence -

EKOS Steel Mill- a Korean Investment Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Adama Science and Technology University /ASTU/ to work together in a center of excellence.
The MOU made EKOS the first company to work with ASTU on the center of excellence, with the purpose of developing industrial inputs from local materials, saving hard currency by replacing import and earning hard currency from export.
Shell H. Choo said, CEO of EKOS sauid that his company proposed five sectors to work on in its center of excellence which includes: transportation and vehicle engineering , advancement of manufacturing engineering advancement of materials science and engineering, advancement of electrical system and electronics, and institute of pharmaceutical science. ....
