A few days before the deadly attack police say spyres attacked a person right here in Friendship Heights just a block from the dc maryland line. Police caught him a few minutes late err just down the street. They charged him with that crime as well as hitting the officers who arrested him. Prosecutorss ended up charging with a lesser crime. Police also located the knife. Now spyres attorney asked to release the client but the judge pointed out that he was on release from an earlier incident where he attacked another person just days earlier. While we were down here at the courthouse right across the street i happened upon an incident where a baby was abandoned on the street and police were responding. This afternoon metropolitan Police Responded to mount vernon and seventh street northwest for reports of an assault and when they got there, they found a man who had been stabbed. D. C. Fire and ems say he has severe life threatening injuries and so far police have blocked off two areas outside the Convention Center while they handle this investigation. Right now police say they do not know why this happened and they dont know who did it. Theyre on the lookout for that suspect right now. The Frederick County Sheriffs Office says husband and wife were stabbed in frederick last night. The man died. His wife is in serious condition at the hospital right now. Unresponsive in the bathtub of her atlanta home. It is unclear how that incident happened. In fredericksburg today, a murder case is going in front of a grand jury. Fredericksburg police say that vander briel killed grace mann back in april. Police say vander briel and mann were roommates. Multiple other roommates that he confessed to the killing. A grand jury in Fairfax County will hear from prosecutors about a Controversial Police shooting. County Police Officer adam torres shot and killed john geer two years ago. Torres claimed that geer appeared to be reaching for a victim. The county paid the family nearly 3 million to settle the civil lawsuit this year. Investigators are working to find the murder weapon in a deadly stabbing. The county Sheriffs Office says a man stabbed a husband and wife at the Anna Prayer Counseling Center last night. The husband died. His wife is in serious condition at the hospital right now. According to sheriffs deputies it happened during prayer services.
