The young boy was shot and killed by a Chicago police officer two months ago following a foot chase in an alley. The incident was caught on body cam video, and the release of the footage sparked intense backlash and outrage.

The Civilian Office of Police Accountability – Chicago s police oversight agency investigating the shooting – released the videos on Thursday, two days after Toledo s family was shown the footage and 17 days after the shooting itself.

Sitting on the front steps of his home, Heotis said he will never forget what he saw on the night of March 29.
“I was up all night that night,” he said. “Now to see it for myself it does something to me, it’s crazy. I can’t explain it.”
