It s a very happy Mother s Day weekend for the parents of a 13-ounce preemie, the sixth tiniest baby born in Tennessee to survive.
Nashville education consultant Kiera O Shea Vargas and her fiancé, Army Lt. Godwin Adabla Tsikata, got to hold their baby girl for the first time Saturday, May 1, five weeks after she was born.
So many emotions took over my body! Vargas wrote on her blog that day. I have been smiling all day!
The baby, Sedinam, has nearly doubled in size since her March 24 birth at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown hospital, weighing in at 1 pound, 9 ounces Thursday, Vargas said. ....
