Than that? this story in the independent, the new tuc leader paul nowak, saying he could go on until 2023 and could become a general election issue for 2024, so he does not seem like he is seeing an end in sight, albeit he hasjust taken not seem like he is seeing an end in sight, albeit he has just taken over from francis o grady. effect of the matter is, we are seeing all sorts of different types of public sector workers people whose pay has been frozen over the last decade, certainly has not risen in line with inflation and certainly is not rising in line with inflation at 10% now. we have gotjunior doctors and midwives threatening to strike next year, there been stories this week about real workers potentially doing strikes on consecutive days, rather than the sort of ad hoc approach we have seen the last couple of weeks. this is not going to go away unless the government comes up of the serie solution and sits down and negotiates, and it is not clear at ....

Unprecedented was it to have that many rejections well, i don t know the history of rejections because what s interesting is you usually don t know about it. a security clearance is something you don t know something that never happened. what s unusual as so much is in the trump white house, these things come out but one of the impacts of having the democrats in control as you just said is elijah cummins will be doing investigations on this, probably having a whole string of witnesses. so we will find out more about the circumstances that led to the rejection and the overruling of the career professionals who make these recommendations. he s releasing a statement saying the system is supposed to be a nonpartisan determination of an individual s fitness to hold a clearance, not an ad hoc approach that overrules career experts to give the president s family members access to our nation s most sensitive secrets. ....

Son in law, should have a very elevated security clearance but we recommend a supervisor over then said he will get it. now congressman elijah cummings, democrat, the chair of the house oversight committee, says he s asked for information about the security clearances. he says this tonight. the system is supposed to be a nonpartisan determination of an individual s fitness to hold a clearance, not an ad hoc approach that overrules career experts to give the president s family members access to our nation s most sensitive secrets. how does the system work? elijah cummings says he wants the answers, but i would imagine, there is a pretty uniform process for this. yeah, there is. there is security people do a background investigation and they make recommendations, and their superiors can accept that recommendation, which is probably what happens in the vast majority of cases, or they can overrule it and agreed to give the person in question a ....

These workers, all of these workers here in indiana rather than sending half of those jobs to mexico. so two questions on that. on that last thing, i mean, you have if i m not mistaken, you have actually called for a policy to be enshrined much like the federal contracting policy on paying a living wage that would essentially enshrine a policy that if you re getting federal contracts you can t do this kind of outsourcing. is there a danger, though, is there a difference between enshrining it as policy and this ad hoc approach. is there a danger of abuse of essentially the president calling up various companies in the way that he does here? well, i don t mind a president being aggressive in trying to protect jobs. i think that s a good thing. what i think is an absurd thing is that the taxpayers of this country have to subsidize multibillion dollar corporations who are making huge profits in order to beg them to keep jobs in this country. what we should be saying is we ....
