POTTSVILLE — Preventing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic is on the agenda starting at 1 p.m. Wednesday when the Schuylkill County commissioners meet separately with each row officer to discuss existing precautions they are taking and the possible need for others.
“We wanted to discuss with each of the row officers the steps they are taking to fight the virus,” Commissioner George F. Halcovage Jr. said Tuesday.
County Administrator Gary R. Bender said each meeting would be separate.
The row officers are Acting Controller Sharyn Yackenchak, Clerk of Courts Maria T. Casey, Coroner Dr. David J. Moylan III, District Attorney Michael A. O’Pake, Prothonotary Bridget McGowan Miller, Recorder of Deeds Ann Dudish, Register of Wills Theresa Gaffney, Sheriff Joseph G. Groody and Treasurer Linda L. Marchalk. All are Republicans except Groody and O’Pake. ....
