Opposition Senator Leila M. de Lima has shared that she has grown more determined to prove her innocence from all the trumped-up drug charges filed against her, following the court s denial of her motion to post bail and junk one of her two remaining bogus drug cases.
In a two-page order last March 5, Judge Liezel Aquiatan of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 205 ruled that the court stands with its Omnibus Order that De Lima must present her evidence to prove her innocence of the crime charged. ....

Opposition Senator Leila M. de Lima has questioned whether the Prosecution team committed subornation of perjury or dereliction of duty when they allowed convicted murderer Joel Capones to be presented in court as their witness against her.
In a Manifestation before the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 256 dated Feb. 24, De Lima, through her lawyers, stressed that it is important to know whether or not the Prosecution believes their own witness.
If the Prosecution does not believe that Joel Capones was telling the truth, and yet they presented him as a witness before the Court, then the Prosecution would have committed the offense of subornation of perjury or, at the very least, violated their lawyer s oath, De Lima said. ....

De Lima appeals Muntinlupa court s decision denying dismissal of her drug case, bail bid
Opposition Senator Leila M. de Lima has filed a motion asking the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 205 to reconsider its earlier decision denying her bid to post bail and junk one of her trumped-up drug cases.
In a 70-page Motion for Reconsideration filed last Feb. 22, De Lima urged Judge Liezel Aquitan to bring justice to everyone involved by correcting what she called a clearly lopsided and logically challenged ruling.
This Motion for Reconsideration, therefore, is being submitted in order to give the Honorable Court the opportunity, not just to revisit the Omnibus Order or the merits of the Motions filed by Accused De Lima (one of which was even erroneously referenced as a Petition for Bail and not referenced even once), but also the entire records of the case, the document read. ....

De Lima appeals after Muntinlupa court junks motion to dismiss case

In a decision last Feb. 17, the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205 denied the demurrers to evidence filed by De Lima and co-accused, Ronnie Dayan, in case 17-165, which accuses the two of conspiring to commit illegal drug trading when she was still the justice secretary.
The two are accused of receiving P10 million from New Bilibid Prison (NBP) inmates in November and December 2012.
“Taking into consideration the pieces of evidence of the prosecution collectively perused and analyzed, the Court is convinced that the evidence of guilt is strong,” the court ruled. It also junked De Lima and Dayan’s petitions for bail. ....

A day after seeking to dismiss one of the three trumped-up drug cases against her, Opposition Senator Leila M. de Lima has asked the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 205 to junk her second drug case citing failure of the Prosecution to present sufficient competent evidence against her.
De Lima, through her lawyers, filed a Demurrer to Evidence for Criminal Case 17-165 last Jan. 8 where she is facing a conspiracy to commit illegal drug trading with her former aide and co-accused Ronnie Dayan. ....
