New car registrations in Romania increased by 4.15% on the year to 12,733 units in January 2024, in line with data released on Feb 2 by Romanian carmakers’ association ACAROM and the General Directorate for Driving Licenses and Vehicles Registration (DGPCI).
Romania's two carmakers, Automobile Dacia and Ford Otosan, manufactured a record high of 513,050 vehicles in 2023, 0.7% more than in 2022 and 22% more than in 2021, as per data from the country's carmakers association ACAROM.
New car registrations in Romania increased by 9.6% to 141,788 units in 2023, of which 45,280 were Dacia vehicles, 13% more on the year, in line with data from Romanian carmakers’ association ACAROM.
