Kwara Assembly approves Gov. AbdulRasaq's request for N35 bn loan.

Ilorin, Jan. 26, 2021 The Kwara House of Assembly has approved Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq’s request to raise N35 billion through Medium Term Loan for provision of infrastructure across the state.
This followed the adoption of a motion by the House Leader, Abubakar Olawoyin-Magaji during Tuesday’s plenary, presided over by Speaker Yakubu Danladi.
Danladi had read the governor’s message to the house seeking for approval for the loan.
Some of the lawmakers in their submissions raised issues on the ability of the state to repay the loan and promised to track the facility towards ensuring that the fund was spent on the purpose intended. ....

2021 Appropriation Bill passes 2nd reading at Kwara Assembly

Ilorin, Dec. 17, 2020 The 2021 Kwara Appropriation Bill of N123 billion on Thursday passed second reading at the State House of Assembly.
This followed the adoption of a motion by the House Leader, Mr Abubakar Olawoyin-Magaji at plenary.
The Clerk of the House Hajia Halimah Perogi thereafter read the bill for the second time.
The Speaker Mr Yakubu Danladi said the inclusion of N30,000 minimum wage and critical infrastructure in the budget was a manifestation of Gov. Abdulraman
Abdulrazaq’s resolve to rebuild the state.
Danladi referred the bill to the Committee on Finance and Appropriation for further legislative action. ....
