âJackson Pollock started the abstract art way back then. Pollock inspired (splatter) art,â said Steffany. In the 1940s, Pollock created what was referred to as âdrip styleâ art where he splattered paint, reports the webpage guggenheim.org. âPollockâs drips, also called âaction paintingsâ revolutionized the potential for contemporary art and furthered the development of Abstract Expressionism,â it reported. The Faldmos plan is to open their Splatter Lab on Jan. 15. Itâs located in the T-Rex Plaza next to Little Caesars. Using four separate lab rooms, up to a dozen visitors may splatter paint all over the place for 30 minutes. Theyâll be provided canvases that they can also take home to display their splatter artwork. ....
