The Tabor College Board of Directors has selected Dr. David Janzen to serve as the 14th president of the college. He currently serves as professor and software engineering coordinator in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
His appointment will take effect on July 1, succeeding Dr. Jules Glanzer after serving as president for over 13 years.
Janzen said. “We are excited and passionate about the mission of Tabor.”
Board chair Susan Franz Koslowsky spoke of the board’s confidence in Janzen’s leadership, recognizing him for his authenticity, entrepreneurial spirit and humility. ....

Tabor College names Dr. David Janzen as 14th president

HILLSBORO – After a nationwide search, the Tabor College Board of Directors selected David Janzen, P.h.D., to serve as the school s 14th president. Janzen, an alumnus of the college, is currently a professor at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
He begins as Tabor College s president in July, succeeding Jules Glanzer, who was in the position for more than one decade.
Along with teaching at Bethel College and the University of Kansas, Janzen invented several programs and worked in the software industry with Sprint from 1993-97. He received his master s and a doctorate in computer science from KU. ....
