"There are no disruptions to critical lifelines and facilities in terms of power, communication, and water," OCD Assistant Secretary Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro IV told President Rodrigo Duterte during the Talk to the People briefing on Tuesday night. Alejandro, who is also Civil Defense deputy administrator, placed the number of affected families at 1,539, equivalent to 5,688 persons, about 4,974 of whom are being aided in 17 evacuation centers. "Please note that all evacuation centers are located outside the high-risk areas. Individuals outside evacuation centers are staying with their families or relatives, and the assessment of other areas and barangays is being done by our LGUs (local government units) ....
(File photo) MANILA - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Monday reported that more than 4,000 employees have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). In a statement, the BOC said as of December 2021, about 4,217 employees, or 97 percent of its workforce were already vaccinated while 708 personnel already received booster shots. It added that it has also procured 5,400 boxes of face masks, 1,000 gallons of alcohol, 500 pieces of disinfectant sprays, 10 boxes of antigen test kits, 20 pieces of alcohol dispensers, 20 pieces of air purifiers, and 20 sets of thermal scanners equipped with alcohol dispensers deployed around the BOC premises, available for the use of its frontline employees. Social distancing is also implemented inside the premises and all offices are regularly disinfected.
