1. Unknown gunmen, on Wednesday, attacked former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, in his home town. Three policemen attached to him were reportedly shot dead during the attack.
2. The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, yesterday, expressed bitterness over the murder of over 16 villagers in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State by Fulani herdsmen. In a statement issued by its President-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, OYC issued a 14-day ultimatum to security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book.
3. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), on Wednesday, named a Ghanaian professor, Ato Essuman as its 20th chairman. A statement by the Head of Public Affairs, WAEC, Mr Abiodun Adukoju, noted that Essuman takes over from Mr Baboucarr Bouy from the Gambia for three years. ....
