The high court had passed the order while hearing a petition filed by Sanjeev Kumar (landowner) seeking directions to deputy commissioners-cum-arbitrators for expediting the disposal of the arbitration cases that has been pending for more than 10 years. The matter came up for hearing on July 7.
Gupta has been booked in a FIR registered at police station Sector-8, Faridabad, under Sections 120 b (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating), and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the IPC. The FIR was registered on January 19 this year, on the complaint of Kawal Sikka, a resident of Faridabad, who bought the Ranger Rover SUV.
