Cong Pune chief goes to HC over defecting corporators in KCB

Ramesh Bagwe, the
Pune chief of Indian National Congress (INC) and former legislator from the party, has moved a civil petition before
Bombay High Court, seeking disqualification of two corporators of
Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB) under the anti-defection law and stalling of the civic body’s upcoming election on January 1. However, the HC has allowed the board to conduct the election, but made its result subject to the outcome of the petition filed by Bagwe.
