Undoubtedly, the 2020 presidential election in Ghana was a historic one and will forever remain in the annals of the Ghanaian history. It was the first election (at least in the 4th republic) where the incumbent president is contested by a former president who lost against the incumbent with over a million votes. Though a lot of people, including many Civil Society Organizations (CSO s), cautioned against the compilation of a new voter register with some saying it is mathematically impossible for the EC to compile a credible register given the remaining time to the election and the legal requirements the EC will have to meet. The EC still went ahead defying all odds against covid-19 and its restriction to compile what is touted by some including the incumbent president as arguably the most credible register in the history of Ghana. ....
