Abbottabad Covid-19 positive rate hits alarming 7.8 per cent 335 positive cases reported in the district, 45 patients were hospitalised ABBOTABAD: Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad has imposed Section 144 in the district making it mandatory for people to wear face masks while visiting public places in Abbottabad district. This order comes into force immediately and shall remain valid for a period of 30 days. According to a notification issued by Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Mughees Sanaullah, it has become necessary for the public to wear face masks while visiting public places to control the spread of Covid-19. Any person contravening this order will be liable for punishment under section 188 PPC, the notification added. ....
Peshawar December 15, 2020 ABBOTTABAD: With the death of a former professor of medicine Dr Hassan Shehzad in the Ayub Teaching Hospital, the death toll from coronavirus has risen to 196 in the Hazara division, with 110 fatalities alone in Abbottabad. Also, positive cases have increased up to 7,245 out of total 82,017 cases screened while 4,333 cases are still awaited. Dr Hassan Shehzad was the 32nd doctor who lost life to coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the daily situation report, Ayub Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad has a higher number of coronavirus cases where out of the total 776 patients, 609 have recovered. Up to 73 are active cases while 96 patients died so far. ....
People urged to be vigilant against coronavirus Peshawar December 12, 2020 PESHAWAR: Hazara Division Commissioner Riaz khan Mehsud Friday addressed the Juma prayers congregation at Markazi Jamia Masjid in Abbottabad and urged upon the people to be vigilant and take precautionary measures against coronavirus pandemic. Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner, Assistant commissioners, District Khateeb Mufti Abdul Wajid and a large number of people were present on this occasion. Addressing the congregation, the commissioner said that cooperation of people was vital and needed to control the pandemic. He said lockdown was the only option if people ignored the looming threat of COVID. He asked the people to spread the message and aware masses about deadly effects of coronavirus. ....
