March 10, 2021 ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday formally launched the Ehsaas “Koi Bhooka Na Soye” initiative in Islamabad. Under the initiative, cooked meals will be provided through mobile trucks at designated delivery points to the people in need especially those at risk of or experiencing hunger. Initially, the Ehsaas Food Trucks are being operated in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and at the later stage, the Koi Bhooka Na Soye programme will be further expanded to other parts of the Country. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed the provincial ministers to coordinate with the PTI and PML-Q candidates to finalise four sets of MPAs who would vote for the candidates. DawnNewsTV/File LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and the PTI as well as PML-Q candidates for the Senate discussed on Monday the election strategy in a meeting wherein the candidates were asked to identify MPAs groups who would vote for them. Each candidate requires 46 votes for his election as senator from Punjab. Govt announces assistance package for Newspaper Hawkers January 07, 2021 The government has announced an assistance package for Newspaper Hawkers and their children under which free medical treatment and educational stipend will be provided. Secretary Information Zahida Parveen announced the package while addressing a news conference along with Information Minister Syed Shibli Faraz, Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal Aon Abbas Bappi and leader of Akhbar Farosh Union Tika Khan in Islamabad this evening. She said every news hawker would be provided with free medical treatment up to six hundred thousand rupees annually through Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal. She said the package also included provision of educational stipend to the children of hawkers. ....
PM inaugurates 100 bed Panahgah at Tarnol, Islamabad January 01, 2021 Prime Minister Imran Khan today inaugurated a 100 bed Panahgah at Tarnol area of Islamabad and spent first evening of the New Year with the poor and deserving people. This facility has been established in cooperation with Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal and Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Free breakfast and dinner will be provided to the poor people at the Panahgah. A separate 10 beds have been arranged for women at the facility. After the inauguration of Panahgah at Tarnol, the number of such facilities in Islamabad has reached to five. The Prime Minister also visited the TeleHealth Kiosk set up by the EZ Shifa in the shelter home, where he was briefed that the doctors at the facility will provide free medical check-ups to patients under the supervision of more than 500 doctors around the world. ....
