MILLSTONE – Township Committee members in Millstone Township are asking municipalities in New Jersey to join together in an attempt to improve the service provided by Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L), which is the region’s public electricity provider.
In a resolution that was passed during a meeting on April 7, the committee members said their call to action follows Tropical Storm Isaias in 2020, which caused significant power outages in Millstone Township and throughout the state.
The resolution states that Township Committee members believe JCP&L failed to provide the proper service as it relates to the length of time it took to restore full power to Millstone Township following the storm. ....
