The Group also reported a revenue of QR312.7m, down by 16.4 percent compared to QR374.0m during the same period last year due to lower sales within its Trading and Distribution segment amid the ongoing pandemic. Aamal’s gross profit was down by 14.1 percent to QR95.0m compared to QR110.7m reported in Q1 2020. Net underlying profit margins have increased by 0.9 percentage points to 18.4 percent. ....

The solid performance in revenue generation was powered by the Industrial Manufacturing and Trading and Distribution segments and the company’s resilience and diversification strategy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. QNA Doha: Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) yesterday signed two agreements with Aamal QPSC and Ibn Ajayan Projects, under which the two companies join Team Qatar Supporters Program. QOC President H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Aamal Chairman Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, and Chairman of Ibn Ajayan Projects, Mohammed bin Mahdi Ajayan Al Ahbabi, attended the signing ceremony. The support of Aamal and Ibn Ajayan Projects contributes to providing the optimal environment for preparing and equipping elite athletes for major tournaments and setting up the training camps required for them. Aamal signed a three-year agreement with QOC. Ibn Ajayan Projects signed a four-year agreement with QOC. ....
