Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti faced an ink attack in Rae Bareli where he had gone to inspect government schools. (PTI)
LUCKNOW: A youth threw ink at Aam Aadmi Party MLA Somnath Bharti in Jais area of Rae Bareli on Monday morning. The incident took place when Bharti, MLA Malviya Nagar in Delhi, was on the way to visit a government school and was stopped by the police. The youth was nabbed by the police.
Meanwhile, shortly after the incident, Bharti was arrested in connection with an FIR lodged against him in Jagdishpur in Amethi on Sunday for alleged derogatory comments against chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Another FIR was lodged against him at Jais for obstructing public servants from discharging their duty. ....
