Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, May 7 : Ramping up the delivery of medical oxygen across the country, the Indian Railways said on Friday that it has delivered more than 2,960 MT Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in 185 tankers through its Oxygen Express trains to different states. A Railway Ministry spokesperson said that the national teansporter is continuing with its journey to provide relief to the people by delivering liquid medical oxygen to various states across the country. So far, the Railways has delivered more than 2,960 MT LMO in 185 tankers to various states across the country, the spokesperson said. ....

Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, May 4 : The Indian Railways on Tuesday said that 27 Oxygen Express trains have completed their journey, delivering more than 1,585 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) in 103 tankers to various states. A Railway Ministry official said that overcoming all hurdles and finding new solutions, the railways is continuing its journey of bringing relief by delivering LMO. So far, railways has delivered 1,585 MT of LMO in 103 tankers to various states across the country, he said, adding that 27 Oxygen Express trains have already completed their journey and six more loaded Oxygen Express trains are on the way, carrying 463 MT of LMO in 33 tankers. ....

169 Covid care coaches handed over to states by Railways ANI | Updated: Apr 27, 2021 17:51 IST New Delhi [India], April 27 (ANI): The Railways has made nearly 4,000 Covid care coaches with almost 64,000 beds ready for use by states as part of fight against the pandemic. A Railway Ministry release said that 169 coaches have been handed over to various states for COVID care. It said that new demand for COVID coaches has come from Nagpur District and a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Divisional Railway Manager, Nagpur and Commissioner, Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Accordingly, the Railways will deploy the Covid care rake with 11 coaches, comprising of modified sleepers with each coach capacity to accommodate 16 patients. The coaches will be equipped with the necessary medical infrastructure by the state health authorities with Railways devising segmentation of space and utility for medical personnel ....
