Ashley Amber grew up just outside Boston, Massachusetts and wrote her first picture book when she was 9 years old that she entered in a Reading Rainbow contest, earning a certificate from LeVar Burton.
Now at age 26, Ashley is publishing her debut novelette. The Flip Side of Sad has been over 10 years in the making, an idea Ashley had at age 16. After finding the old story on her computer, she decided to rewrite and edit, turning it into the novelette coming March 30, 2021.
The Flip Side of Sad centers around pop superstar James Letta on what he thinks is the worst day of his career. until he has to relive it. A ghostly spirit takes James on a journey through his own album to try and show him the lessons of his lyrics in a story Ashley calls A Christmas Carol meets Teen Beach Movie. ....

Service dog group appoints Wareham's Geoffrey Worrell

PRINCETON – NEADS World Class Service Dogs, based in Princeton, Mass., has announced the newest additions to its board of directors: former Marine Corps First Sgt. Paul Jornet has been named board president, while Susan Feit of State Street Corporation, Dr. A. Kim Saal, formerly of CareGroup Health Care and Mt. Auburn Hospital, and Geoffrey H. Worrell of Mortgage Network Inc., have been appointed to the board. Jornet, in his new role as president, and the newly elected board members will assist in establishing and upholding the organization’s activities, finances and general objectives.
