Police: Vehicle stolen in Stratfield Village area of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD One vehicle was stolen and another nearly stolen in the Stratfield Village area of town Sunday, according to police.
A Jackman Avenue resident called police at 10:27 a.m. to report seeing a black, four-door vehicle pull up in front of her neighbor’s home and try to steal their vehicle.
She reported seeing a person get out of the black vehicle and walk down the neighbor’s driveway and pull on the door handle of a grey Jeep Cherokee that was running by remote start. When the door didn’t open, the person walked back to the waiting vehicle, which fled toward Stratfield Road. ....
