Quite simply, the Airbus A320 has eaten the Boeing 737 for lunch.
Originally launched as a competitor to the ubiquitous Boeing 737, the A320 has outsold the 737 since its launch. It’s also an excellent contribution to aviation in its own right, being the first fly-by-wire, or non-manually controlled, aircraft. It also has wingtip fences to reduce the effects of vortices (drag on the wings) as standard equipment. This popular plane has been tough competition for Boeing, and generally helped keep airline ticket prices lower via lower costs overall. Viva la competition. ....

Hong Kong Airlines Returns to Osaka

With the resumption of flights to holiday destinations such as Bali still some way off, Hong Kong Airlines has focused on bringing back routes flown by business and essential travelers. On January 2, 2021, the full-service carrier will be relaunching its Osaka service, with flights operating every Thursday and Saturday to Kansai International Airport. Flight HX618 will depart Hong Kong at 11:30 a.m. and arrive in Osaka at 4:05 p.m. after three hours and 35 minutes in the air. On the return leg, passengers will take off from Kansai International Airport at 6:30 p.m. to land back at Chek Lap Kok at 10 p.m. local time. ....
