My husband wants to use me for ritual - Woman tells court

A Customary Court in Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State has dissolved a six-year-old marriage between a trader, Kaosara Okeowo and her husband, Lateef, over alleged threat to life.
The mother of two had told the court that she was in danger because her husband wants to use her for ritual.
Delivering judgment, Chief Ademola Odunade, the President of the court, dissolved the marriage in the interest of peace.
NAN reports that Odunade awarded custody of the two children to Okeowo.
The arbitrator ordered Lateef to pay N10,000 as child support.
Testifying, Okeowo said, “My Lord, things are not going on well. He requests for unusual and personal things from me.” ....

A Customary Court sitting in Mapo, Ibadan, on Friday granted a businesswoman, Carolin Adetoro’s request for divorce after her husband took a second wife and abandoned her.
Adetoro who lives in Felele area in Ibadan, said she had been married to Adeleke for 21 years.
Delivering judgment, the President of the court, Chief Ademola held that he granted the prayer because both parties agreed to the divorce.
Odunade awarded custody of the first three children to the respondent and the last to the plaintiff. ....

A Customary Court in Ile-Tuntun, Oyo State, on Friday dissolved a 10-year-old union between a housewife, Adeyinka Ajibola, and estranged wife, Ayo, over interference by her mother-in-law in the marriage.
Delivering judgment, the President of the Court, Chief Henry Agbaje dissolved the union in the interest of peace.
The arbitrator awarded custody of the two children to Ayibola and ordered Ayo to pay N10,000 as monthly feeding allowance.
”My mother-in-law has not categorically pointed out to me what she wants from me. All I know is that her son, cooks up flimsy reasons to cause conflict in the home, rather than settling the matter for us,” she said. ....
