LaHood: Orr Building Vaccination Site Is The Gold Standard ; Pritzker s Mitigations Went Too Far | WMAY

By WMAY Newsroom Photo: Kevin Hart WMAY News Congressman Darin LaHood gives praise for the mass vaccination site at the fairgrounds, but not so much to the Governor’s mandates. At a stop in Springfield, LaHood called the vaccination site in the Orr Building the “gold standard” of regional centers calling the access, location, and collaboration “tremendous.” The Governor did not get high marks however, with LaHood calling Governor Pritzker’s mitigation efforts “draconian.” He also defended his “no” vote on the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill, claiming the income threshold for stimulus checks was too high and that too much of the bill went to bailing out blue states and other things such as planned parenthood and pensions.
