Brother, steven, took 20 years ago today. steven siller was a new york firefighter. he had just gotten off his shift at brooklyn s squad one fire station when the first plane hit the north tower. steven jumped in his truck to rush to the scene and when he realized the brooklyn battery tunnel was shut down, he strapped 60 pounds of gear to his back and race through the tunnel on foot to the twin towers. ultimately giving his life to save others. joining me right now is frank siller, steven s older brother. frank siller now the chairman and ceo of the tunnel to towers foundation. frank, so good to see you. i mean, what a journey this continues to be for you. so on this somber day, you just walked in your brother s footsteps, completing that 537 mile never forget walk. going through that same tunnel to ground zero. so express what you were feeling ....
