(WTVF) â The suspect in the deadly shooting of Nashville nurse Caitlyn Kaufman is now facing federal drug and gun charges. U.S. Attorney Don Cochran announced the charges Tuesday against 28-year-old James Edward Cowan, who was also known as James Lillard. Cowan was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. ....

(WTVF) â The girlfriend of one of the men accused in the murder of a Nashville nurse has now been arrested on charges of harboring a fugitive. Metro police said 21-year-old Dimeneshia Carter was with James Cowan on Tuesday night when he was arrested. Police said the couple had been surveilled by undercover detectives and ATF agents and Carter was seen driving Cowan in a rental car from a motel to the apartment complex where he was arrested. ....

(WTVF) â Metro Nashville Police have identified a second suspect in the deadly shooting of Caitlyn Kaufman on Interstate 440. Police officials say 28-year-old James Edward Cowan is wanted in Kaufman s murder. They have issued an arrest warrant for Cowan charging him with criminal homicide. He has been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation s Most Wanted List. The TBI said it is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to his arrest and conviction. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is also offering a $5,000 reward in the case. ....
