MANILA-The country's overall tally of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) patients who have recovered from the disease has reached 2,478,616 as 7,425 new recoveries were recorded as of Thursday. The Department of Health (DOH) said the figure is equivalent to a 94.1-percent recovery rate from a total of 2,632,881 infections since the start of the pandemic last year. The DOH also tallied 10,019 new confirmed cases, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 115,328 or 4.4 percent of all cases. Of the active cases, 77.7 percent are mild, 13.6 percent are asymptomatic, 1.2 percent are severe, 5.33 percent are moderate, and 1.2 percent are in critical condition. There were 109 new fatalities, bringing the nation's death toll to 38,937 or 1.48 percent of the total cases.
