Fine, and it appears everybody has gotten out of the interview safely. we have that interview from the gentleman on the 29th floor. let s play it. we have morgan here on the 14th floor of the building. yeah. reporter: how are you doing? a little shaken? a little shaky at this point, but at least now we ve got clarity as to what happened? reporter: what were you in the middle of and what happened? i work on the 14th floor. i commute every day i m here. we were in our chairs and we felt a little bit of a tremor. we re like wow, that s something that s unusual. that doesn t normally happen. about ten minutes later, five, ten minutes later we heard the loud speaker. the guy reported we need to evacuate immediately. the first report we got was that we needed to stay in our seats and just remain. reporter: stay in your seats? the first report was we re finding more clarity on what s going on. five minutes later, everyone get
Building. but there were a lot of people that were still on the way out when we got downstairs. so there are a lot of upper floors up there. reporter: given the history of september 11th, 2001, what was it like when you felt it and the confusion there? well, a lot of people felt the building shake. at first they didn t think a lot of it. when security said get out of the building, then you got a little nervous. then you started thinking staircase. do i want to be coming down a staircase if there s something bad that s happening? we had no choice. we were nervous. that thought is in the back of your mind. reporter: may i have your name? i am nathan hutton. reporter: you re on the 29th floor? i work in bnp in the i.t.
the most important thing first, there is no indication at this time that this was an act of terror. now as we wait to learn more about the pilot s identity, the ntsb will be leading an investigation to determine the probable cause of the crash. if you re a new yorker, you have a level of ptsd, right, from 9/11. and i remember that morning all too well. so, as soon as you hear an aircraft hit a building, i think my mind goes where every new yorker s mind goes. now, i spoke to one individual on the 29th floor of this building. he said that the building shook violently. people on lower floors, there were tremors, but not like this. they waited. they were told to wait for ten minutes before finally evacuating. once they hit the stairs on that 29th floor, they said they did smell smoke. they weren t sure they were doing the right thing because
Gear and their tools in hand and their faces covered in soot and blackened. the witnesses we spoke to said one of them on the 29th floor of this 51-story building when it hit, they he felt the building shake. another witness saying that they were told to stay in position in their chairs for a short time, about ten minutes before everybody was told to get out of the building. that s when everybody went for the exits there. and there were some crowding down the exits to get out of the building. they kind of moved us around here. this is where they staged the paramedics and ambulances. it s not clear if we re going to hear from the mayor or somebody else shortly. you can see the number of paramedics here that are prepared to go in. the number of stretchers in case there are injuries. the governor said there were injuries if not fatalities, but
