Of the active cases, 33.3 percent are asymptomatic, 53.3 percent mild, 6.7 percent moderate, and 6.7 percent severe. Overall, the city has registered 27,897 recoveries since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, or 96.67 percent of 29,158 total infections. Amog the total recoveries, 26,326 (94.36 percent) are community-based while the rest are detainees, 416; locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 379; authorized person outside residence (APOR), 361; persons deprived of liberty (PDL), 217; Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), 89; Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), 72; returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), 33; and returning residents from Malaysia, four. In its latest case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) also logged 1,766 new infections, which pegged the number of active cases at 37,159. Meanwhile, 239 new deaths brought to 43,825 the country's Covid-19 death toll. The confirmed Covid-19 cases since the outbreak started in March 2020 are 2,795,642, of which 1.3 percent are undergoing treatment, 97.1 percent have recovered, while 1.57 percent have died. "Twenty-two duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 17 are recoveries," the DOH said. The DOH also logged a lower 10,748 new cases and 61 new deaths, bringing the overall tally of active cases to 106,160 and the death toll to 38,828. Of the new infections, 82.7 percent of the active cases are mild, 8.3 percent are asymptomatic, 2.7 percent are severe, 5.15 percent are moderate, and 1.2 percent are in critical condition. "There were 107 duplicates removed from the total case count as 71 of these are recoveries and one is death.
