The vote for president in alabama. roy moore barely got 51.8%. he barely won his race. so roy moore brought some baggage to this race. a lot of baggage even before this. if there were circumstances that a democrat could get elected to the senate in alabama, these would have to be them. we ll see if roy moore stays in the race. of course, all the options here that are circulating for republican leaders, they are still trying to force him to withdraw. they are talking about expelling him, even if he wins. hey, if you win this election, we re going to have a senate ethics committee investigation. you re going under oath and we ll ask you all sorts of uncomfort questiunkom fo uncomfo uncomfortable questions. they are trying to get him to withdraw from the race. do they put up a write-in candidate up if he gets out? do they put a write-up candidate up in he refuses to get out of the race? we ll tackle those questions as i walk back to the panel, joining us today, the panel for the hour, the ....
Find a senate race that was single digit race. this has been a one party state when it comes to federal office. so the fact this was close that was a big warning sign for republicans. now of course the question accusations about moore, what do they do, do they bring the numbers down further or help the democrats get into the lead here. also keep this in mind, we say alabama such an overwhelmingly republican state, but roy moore has been the exception to that rule. he last ran for office five years ago in alabama for the job of chief justice. remember ultimately got removed from this job. noup he won but look he won barely. 51.8% of the vote. same day, same election, mitt romney for president got 61%. so roy moore ran far behind the republicans. nearly lost this race. again he is such a lightning rod figure, even before the accusations this week. so again that s something democrats think of. maybe we have to change this. this is a statewide. we are talking federal office ....
