The question, a big question, is everyone accounted for? that s not been answered perfectly. the pictures speak volumes about the horror of this tragic accident. just take a look at some of these pictures. the train s engine seven cars overturned, crushed, torn apart like pieces of paper by the force of that crash. so cars so badly mangled that first responders had to use rescue tools and so-called jaws of life to try to open it up and get people out who were trapped inside. the train was carrying the latest numbers are 238 passengers. five crew members. pictures from inside the train that people were bringing out shows dazed, confused, bloody passengers. blood down their faces. some of them had to crawl to safety. some walking on the ceiling to get out. others need to be carried out. many of them with broken bones, fractures to arms, ribs, legs. ....
And you know, the train, you know moving as well. 238 passengers. we don t know exactly how many people are injured, we know that there are injuries and they are being taken to area hospitals. again, don t know the severity of the injuries. this picture you re looking at now coming from patrick murphy a former u.s. representative who was on that train this evening. we don t know the extent of his injuries as well. there are people who were on the trap who are sending out images via social media. this is an awful look inside to show you the chaos and damage from inside of the train cars. again, multiple injuries here. and numerous patients taken to numerous hospitals in the philadelphia area. when this all began, just folks outs there with flash looiglights looks. they have brought more equipment in now to better get a look at what s going on. still a rescue operation. still a rescue operation at this ....
We have seen some police helicopters out here. trying to put some light out here. if you take a look at this entire area you don t see a lot of light from street lamps or what have you. these trains come through the area late at night. and they don t have a lot of light on the area of the tracks. so they brought in helicopters out here. presumably as you re seeing to try to shed some light on the scene so the investigators and some of the firefighters and police officers who were out there at the scene can get a better look at the train cars and try to make sure serving stabilized and okay. as we push back in one more time we ll give you another look. you can see how many of these cruisers are out there on the scene. and we ll keep an i d here with sky force 10. that gives you a little perspective of this level three mass casualty that they ve called for following the train derailment in philadelphia. to look at the numbers, 238 passengers were on board. ....
