Back on basic necessities. the latest aaa survey, americans are paying almost $4 on average for a gallon of gasoline, right now at 3.98. we are 2 cents away from $4 gasoline across the country. stu varney, fox business network, good morning to you. bill. bill: i find it fascinating, when you send out a note to viewers and say tell us how much you re paying for gasoline, it s extraordinary, in places like indiana, 4.35 a gallon. i could top that, bill. in chicago, it s 4.44 a gallon. and in parts of hawaii, just a couple of gas stations, it s six bucks! but my point, bill, is that because of those very high prices, we are now starting to use a lot less gas. about 130, 140 million gallons a month less than last year. we re also buying a lot of new small cars, the chevy cruise is selling well, the ford focus is selling well ....
