Residents living on half-acre lots behind Holly Ridge Golf Club have signed a citizens petition that, if approved, would give them something to crow about.
If the petition wins voter support at the annual Town Meeting next month, roosters would be banned from residential zones in Sandwich.
âRoosters crow in the morning and all day long,â said Annie H. Adler, whose said she and her neighborsâwhose homes are located near the golf courseâare losing sleep from a cacophony of crowing from roosters in the neighborhood.
Town Meeting voters will be asked to ban roosters from the townâs residential zones.
