Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) says an increase in missed and cancelled appointments for colorectal cancer screening over the last year during the pandemic has led to "a large number of undiagnosed, and therefore untreated, cancers affecting those in the region."
Hamilton logs 34 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 new deaths
Hamilton Public Health Services is reporting 34 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. There are 403 active cases of COVID-19 in the city with two new deaths linked to the virus in the last 24 hours.

The permanent birth control device Essure has been off the Canadian market for four years but pain and serious complications linger among some women who are seeking compensation from a manufacturer that says it intends to defend its product vigorously.
Keri Ponace of Regina is one of the 10,000 Canadian women who opted for the device.
