CHARLESTON — The Cabell-Huntington Health Department will set up in the former Sears space in the Huntington Mall to provide more COVID-19 vaccines at a faster pace.
The Huntington Mall has seen its 40th anniversary. Yet the cold hard truth is that the mall shouldnât have been built in the Ona area. It should have been built in downtown Huntington, where it would have created a retail hub that would breathe life into the cityâs central business district.

BARBOURSVILLE â Christopher & Banks is closing all brick and mortar locations, including its stores at the Huntington Mall in Barboursville, the Ashland Town Center in Kentucky and the Town Center Mall in Charleston, due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company authorized store closing sales to be conducted by Hilco Merchant Resources. The store closing process has begun at more than 400 stores nationally, the company said in an email.
