18-year-old stabbed at Smith Playground A teenager was stabbed at Smith Playground at 25th Street and Snyder Avenue at approximately 7:07 p.m. on Wednesday night, police said. Cheyenne City Council Amends Open Container Law The City Council on Monday passed an ordinance to amend open container sales and consumption exemptions. Possession of open malt beverage and wine containers within the DDA district boundaries will now be permitted beginning the Thursday preceding Memorial Day and end the Monday of Labor Day each calendar year, the city said in a press release Thursday. Open containers will be allowed every day between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., the city added. Additional information on the amended ordinance can be found below: What type of alcohol will be allowed? Malt beverages and wine are the only types of alcohol allowed under the new open container ordinance. Hard liquor in open containers is not allowed.
