Bahamian collegiate athletes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I (DI) and Division II (DII) levels continue to put on impressive performances as the indoor track and field season winds down.
Sasha Wells continued her impressive NCAA DI indoor run for the Oral Roberts University Golden Eagles when she won three individual events at the Washburn Challenge hosted by Washburn University at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility in Topeka, Kansas, on Friday. Fellow Bahamian and Golden Eagles athlete Bradley Dormeus won two individual events and was a part of the winning relay that day. Both Bahamians were able to break facility records.
Cross country returns, track and field break records

Sophomore hurdler Grant Holloway was one of the many UF track and field athletes who were named All-Americans.
Florida’s busy weekend began on Friday and spilled over into Saturday as the cross country and track and field teams competed in the South Carolina Invitational.
Freshman leads at FSU Winter XC Classic
The men’s cross country team finished in last place with 525 points Friday morning in Tallahassee but freshman Stephanie Ormsby finished 21st in her collegiate debut at 20:44.9 the leading time on a Florida women’s team that finished 15th.
