East Hartford, CT - The Town of East Hartford will once again join communities nationwide for National Night Out – America’s Night Out Against Crime. Events will take place beginning at
1:00 PM on
Tuesday, August 3, at various locations throughout East Hartford. The National Night Out event is instrumental in bringing the community together under positive circumstances and fostering pride and appreciation of the wonderful town we live in, said Mayor Marcia Leclerc.
National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. For years, neighborhoods throughout East Hartford were invited to join forces with over 38.5 million people in more than 16,500 communities from all
