Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Scott City didn’t have to go far in its search for its next volleyball coach. At Monday’s USD 466 Board of Education meeting, Lauren Robinson was approved to be the next leader of the Lady Beaver volleyball program.
Robinson isn’t unfamiliar to the program, as she served as an assistant over the past three years, and previously served as the head coach for the eighth grade team for two seasons. She is a 2007 graduate of Scott Community High School, and played for Kyle Carroll during her high school days.
Scott City went 22-15 in 2020, falling to eventual fourth place finisher in Class 3A in Goodland in the sub-state semi-finals. Robinson takes over for Shelby Kite, who stepped down in November after recording a 106-43 mark in four seasons.
