The Emily Fire Department was called to the fire at 4:21 a.m. on the 24000 block of Crow Wing County Highway 1 in Little Pine Township. Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard said the man and his dog were inside at the time of the fire and didn’t make it out. The body was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office to be identified and to determine the cause of death.

Man found dead after vehicle left the road, crashed into a tree Diane Sandberg © Provided by KARE-TV Minneapolis-St. Paul A Nisswa man was found dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Monday night, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriffs Department.  Sheriff Scott Goddard said in a release that just before 9:30 p.m. deputies responded to the area of County Road 18 and Wedgewood Road Lake in Edward Township, after reports of a vehicle off the road.  Deputies determined that a 2004 Toyota Tundra was heading east on County Road 18 when the driver lost control and hit a tree.  The driver,  29-year-old Jeremy Drisko Frost of Nisswa, was declared dead at the scene.
