Police has conducted an investigation to identify the texter who threatened to bomb the DepEd office in Barangay Imus.
Police said the text message was received past 6 a.m. by school division superintendent Dr. Rhea Mae Angtud.
Workers immediately vacated the building while police were called to scour the building.
Lt. Franklin Rosario, head of the Cebu City Police Office’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, said that based on the message, the sender of the text was someone who was disgruntled over the non-distribution of cash allowance.
“We cannot say yet if the sender was an employee of DepEd or not. There were several messages that were written in Bisaya, Ilocano and Tagalog,” said Rosario.
