CINCINNATI â Traffic was brought to a standstill for nearly an hour at the convergence of Interstates 74 and 75 in Cincinnati Friday night after a multi-vehicle crash.
The eastbound lanes of I-74 and the southbound lanes of I-75 closed just before 9:30 p.m. as emergency crews worked to clear the scene of the wreck. All lanes reopened just before 10:30.

CINCINNATI â Vice President Kamala Harris was in town Friday to talk transit and briefly created a small traffic jam of her own on Elm Street downtown when her visit took two local small businesses completely by surprise.

Harris is meeting with Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) to talk about infrastructure and public transit systems.
The discussion will likely include the Brent Spence Bridge. The I-71/75 interstate bridge is a major north-south trade corridor with over a billion dollars worth of freight crossing it daily.
There s a $2.6 billion plan to build a companion bridge to help carry that load, but it lacks funding. Local and state officials are hoping the project could get funding under President Biden s proposed American Jobs Plan.
That proposal would include $115 billion for roads and the 10 most economically significant bridges.
Mark Policinski heads the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana Regional Council of Governments. He told WVXU shortly after the president s plan was released that if the Brent Spence Bridge is not on that list, then it s a bad list. It s as simple as that.
