It’s National Desexing Month
Shoalhaven City Council is encouraging pet owners to have their pets desexed as National Desexing Month gets underway.
July marks National Desexing Month with the Shoalhaven Animal Welfare League branch is offering local residents heavily discounted desexing rates during the month. To qualify for this offer you must have a pension or healthcare card and be a Shoalhaven resident.
Since July 2020 the Shoalhaven Animal Shelter has seen 21 kittens and 15 puppies born at the Shelter, Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley said this shows how important it is to have your pets desexed.
“Each year we see many kittens and puppies looking for homes following breeding season. It is important that pet owners have their animals desexed to help curb the number of unwanted litters in the region.” Clr Findley said.
